This 5 day iBase course teaches how IBM i2 iBase is structured and how to navigate to various functions in iBase. Learn how to Find, View, Edit and Delete Entities and Links in iBase as well as search across multiple entities using the various search functions. The course also provides skills in charting iBase entities in Analyst’s Notebook, create and run structured queries, using Scored Matching to identify likely suspects, send entities to Geo Spatial programs, create and run iBase Reports and create Alerts. The course also teaches students how to create and run imports and exports of data to maximise the speed at which iBase can ingest data for analysis.

The Designer component teaches participants how to create an iBase database using iBase Designer. Over the two and a half days, participants will be learn how to create a database model, use such a model to create entities, links, fields, pick lists and attributes for an iBase database. Users will then be shown how to maximise the user-friendliness of the database be creating labelling schemes, datasheets and search indices. Users will also be shown how to ensure iBase works seamlessly with other programs such as Analyst’s Notebook and GIS software by creating Charting Templates, Charting Schemes and GIS Schemes. And finally, users will be taught how to use iBase security framework to ensure the safe and secure operation of the database. This course is recommended for anyone who will be building or administering an iBase database.
